CITATIONS DIALOGUE
I sent the first image of this gallery, as a New Year’s e-card, including this citation from a book I was reading at the time. “Travels in the scriptorium” by Paul Auster:
“The pictures do not lie, but neither do they tell the whole story.”
There was one particular thought provoking response that had a blend of a former teacher advise and a caustic sense of humor. Owen Butler, photographer and Senior Professor at RIT, wrote:
“Be careful of sharp instruments,
"... iron clad rules often rust " / w.e. Smith”
Next New Year’s e-card included a Minor White's citation:
“When gifts are given to me through my camera, I accept them graciously.”
